CYRANO DE BERGERAC

“Call it monumental — call it continental — ask, 'is it functional or just ornamental?’ Try being a little experimental with imagery: a rock, a crag, a mountain-range — explicit, illicit, passing strange — barbaric, Homeric, slightly deranged —”

Cyrano de Bergerac has now opened at the Citadel Theatre! The production will be remounted at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in October 2026, and at the Grand Theatre from March to April 2027.

The Department of Paranormal Affairs

I recently had the pleasure of writing two episodes of The Department of Paranormal Affairs, a comedy web series which you can find on Prime Video. In December 2024, the DoPA writing team was awarded Best Writing (Action/Horror/Science Fiction) at the Rio Webfest. Congrats and a big thank you to David Feehan, who created the show, wrote most of the episodes, and brought me on board!

PROPHECY

I recently had the pleasure of performing Prophecy as part of the 2024/2025 season at Theatre Projects Manitoba. Although I wrote this one-person show, it was be first time acting in it. (Prophecy performed in 2016 and 2017 by the outstanding Carmen Osahor, credited as Carmen Nieuwenhuis.)

This was a particularly special production for me, as it marked my first time performing in my hometown of Winnipeg since leaving for theatre school in 2013. Special thanks to Suzie Martin, who programmed Prophecy, directed the production, and didn’t balk when I asked if I could audition for it.
